Chicago
Society members, who call each other "Brother" a sign of their
fraternalism, volunteered to manage and operate the bars at the Taste of Polonia
festival. Naturally, they were not adverse to mixing business and pleasure. |
Members
of the Chicago Society regularly participate in Polonian events in and around
Chicago, such as the Taste of Polonia, sponsored by the Copernicus Foundation.

The
Chicago Society membership, often joined by wives, find fun and satisfaction in
assisting philanthropic causes. Businessmen and professionals shed suit and tie
for a good cause. |

All
work and no play would make a Chicago Society member a dull guy. Rocky
Polit, Aide to Congressman Luis Gutierrez, and T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert,
Director of Public Relations for the Polish National Alliance, enjoy the
70th birthday celebration of Li'l Wally, the Polka King. |
Frank
Spula, National Secretary of the Polish National Alliance (PNA),
recently addressed a meeting of the Chicago Society, explaining the
benefits of PNA insurance, both to the owner and to Polonia in general. |
The
Chicago Society Foundation is a major sponsor of a special exhibit about
Polish astronomers that will run at Chicago's Adler Planetarium through
January 10, 2001, and then tour the nation. Members of the Society
attended the exhibit's opening reception. |
