2007 PRE-PARADE BRUNCH AND
POLISH CONSTITUTION  DAY PARADE
AND NAVY PIER VIP RECEPTION

The 2007 Pre-Parade Brunch, sponsored annually by the Chicago Society, was among the most successful with the largest number of guests in memory. It was attended by numerous Polonia and civic leaders, as well as members of the Polish Presidential Cabinet. The invocation was delivered by the Most Rev. Thomas Paprocki, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago.

Romuald E. Matuszczak has been the Chairman of this event for 29 years. He was assisted by his wife, Chris, and Co-Chairman Mark Hrycko, Social Activities Director William Drozd and President T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert.

Under the chairmanship of Clubhouse Director Frank Czaja, the Chicago Society entered an attractive float in the parade, preceded by members carrying our official banner.

Following the brunch and parade, a few indefatigable members attended a VIP Reception at the "Poland at the Pier" festival. Naturally, they took the opportunity to pose with Consul General Pawel Pietracienski and fellow member Stanley Stawski, distributor of Okocim Polish beer, whose product they amply sampled.
