CHICAGO SOCIETY
of the Polish National Alliance

One of the Most Progressive Polish American Organizations in the United States

MEETING OF OCTOBER, 2009

It was a very special meeting, because the Chicago Society welcomed one of its largest member induction classes in recent memory, swearing in six new brothers. Pictured with their sponsors, they enjoyed a champagne toast after taking the oath, followed by the singing of "Sto Lat" ["May You Live a Hundred Years"] led by Brother Frank Gondela.

The Pledge of Allegiance was delivered by Brother Richard Wiermanski, who resides in Maryland, and the Induction Ceremony was administered by Brother John Wojciechowski, Personnel Director.

The speaker at the meeting was author James Conroyd Martin, making his second appearance before the membership in as many years.

The site was the Copernicus Foundation, where a Polish-style buffet dinner was served by Kasia's Deli.
