MEETING OF OCTOBER, 2008

Leaders of the Joseph Conrad Yacht Club were the guest speakers at the Chicago Society's October Meeting. They described the formation, purpose and goals of the organization.

It was the last date on which nominations for 2009 office could be made. In addition to the slate presented by the Nominations Committee, several nominating petitions were filed, ensuring that there would be contests at the November meeting.

The meeting was held at the building of Sawa's Old Warsaw Restaurant in Broadview, Illinois, where the members and guests enjoyed the famous smorgasbord dinner.
