CHICAGO SOCIETY
of the Polish National Alliance

One of the Most Progressive Polish American Organizations in the United States

MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 2007

The author of "Night of Flames," an historical novel about Poles in World War II, Doug Jacobsen, was the featured speaker at the September Meeting. He traveled to the Chicago area specially to address the Chicago Society and his comments about Poland during the war were exceptionally well received by the membership. The book was scheduled to be released in October.

Brother Fred Koziol gave the report of the Nominating Committee for 2008, adding that members not slated may present a petition at the next meeting to be placed on the ballot. Demonstrating interest in serving the Society, it appears that there will be several contested positions.

The meeting took place at the Village Inn and Pub in Niles, Illinois, with an improved seating arrangement and audio system.
