CHICAGO SOCIETY
of the Polish National Alliance

One of the Most Progressive Polish American Organizations in the United States

MEETING OF JULY, 2006

The highlight of the July meeting was a talk by Kenneth Gill, Chicago Society Personnel Director and International Polka Association President, about the origins of polka music, as well as the various polka styles and ethnicities. His speech was  interspersed by demonstrative music performed by two members of the Chicago Society, Ed Ptaszek and Dr. Robert Dutka, and singing by the membership .

Making the meeting an inter-ethnic event, an Asian-style dinner was served by Bill Folak's Lincoln Tavern catering service.
