CHICAGO SOCIETY
of the Polish National Alliance

One of the Most Progressive Polish American Organizations in the United States

MEETING OF MAY, 2010

The May Meeting took place at Capone's Hideout, formerly The Village, in Niles, Illinois. Although some members enjoyed the outdoor patio and the relaxed atmosphere, some others felt that the site was not appropriate for the Chicago Society, making it unlikely that the venue will not be scheduled again in the near future.

Regardless of the locale, the decorum of the membership was exemplary, particularly during the speech by Steve Robinson, who described e-mail procedures for businesses and non-profit organizations.

Seven new members were inducted, making it one of the largest monthly induction classes in recent memory. Brother John Wojciechowski peformed the ceremony and Brother Frank Gondela led the singing of Sto Lat [May You Live 100 Years].

Perhaps the buffet dinner was too good, as the food disappeared before everyone was able to taste each item. In actuality, the shortage occurred because more members arrived at the meeting than made reservations, a problem that the Board of Directors was determined to resolve.
