MEETING OF APRIL, 2005
Karen Popowski and Malgorzata Cieslik spoke about the Polish
American Association (PAA) at the April Meeting. The mission of the
PAA, a human services agency, is to serve the diverse needs of the
Polish community in the Chicago metro area by providing resources
for changing lives, with emphasis on assisting immigrants.
Through its 31 bilingual and bicultural programs and services of
education, employment, social, immigration, information and
advocacy, the PAA provides clients with the resources for changing
their lives and enhancing their ability to become contributing
members of the community.
The Polish American Association was founded by members of the
Chicago Society as the Polish Welfare Association.
Robert Groszek and Larry Miller were inducted as new members that
evening. A buffet dinner was served by Sawa's Old Warsaw Restaurant.
