CHICAGO SOCIETY
of the Polish National Alliance

One of the Most Progressive Polish American Organizations in the United States

MEETING OF JANUARY, 2010

The January meeting was the start of the second term of President Charles A. Komosa, who had been reelected in November. The other newly elected officers and directors also assumed their new posts.

Brother Peter Dykas led the Pledge of Allegiance and Brother Frank Czaja delivered the benediction.

Longtime member Romuald E. Matuszczak addressed the membership about the Honor Flight for WWII veterans in which he was a participant, describing how exciting the experience had been. Brother Matuszczak served in the Marines on the Japanese-held island of Pelaliu, one of the war's most hard-fought battles. Brother Ted Matlak expressed the gratitude of the Chicago Society during the Good of the Order segment of the meeting.

The dinner was catered by Kasia's Deli, which has been a favorite of the Chicago Society for many years.
