The Chicago Society honored its newly elected officers on January 24, 2009, at its 97th Inaugural Ball, which featured a ceremonial installation. The swearing in was conducted by Illinois State Representative Sara Feigenholtz. Brief addresses were given the outgoing President, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert, and the incoming President, Charles A. Komosa.

Ball Chairman Conrad Miczko was presented with a Booster Award plaque for sponsoring the most new members during the preceding year.

The 2009 Inaugural Ball took place at Cafe le Cave in suburban Des Plaines, Illinois, where guests enjoyed a dinner highlighted by a surf and turf dinner. Music was provided by the Anthony Kawalkowski Orchestra.
