DYNGUS DAY PARTY 2008

The Chicago Society held its first Dyngus Day Party, complete with pussy willows and dousing (well, almost water,) on Easter Monday, March 24, 2008. The event at Stardust Banquets on Chicago Northwest Side drew a large crowd from the Polish and Polka communities.

Four hours of music was provided by Stas Bulanda and the Old School Review with special appearances by polka stars Joe Walega and Keith Stras.

President Ron Jasinski-Herbert was assisted by Social Activities Director Mark Hrycko, Secretary Mark Orwat and Director Kenneth Gill.
