DESERVING CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

Over 80 children, who are from single-parent homes or who might not have a Christmas as merry as others, were treated to a party by the Chicago Society on December 12, 2009. It was the 46th year that our Brother, Ro Matuszczak, had chaired the event.

The children and families are chosen with the cooperation of the Polish American Association.

The party started with hot dogs, potato chips, cookies, milk and soda. The refreshments were followed by the singing of kolędy and a show featuring unusual or rare animals. Finally, the big moment occurred when Santa Claus arrived and distributed presents to the children.
