CHICAGO SOCIETY HOLDS
CANDIDATES NIGHT

The Chicago Society, Lodge 1450 of the Polish National Alliance (PNA) for businessmen and professionals, held a Candidates Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on October 26, 2006, at the Copernicus Center in Chicago.

The event was attended by candidates for state, county and local offices, both Republicans and Democrats.

Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinners are traditional events in American politics. They have been sponsored by the Chicago Society, a Polish American organization founded in 1912, for decades. Although usually for gentlemen only, female candidates are invited to the Society’s pre-election gathering. All were invited to meet the members and make brief statements.
